Trinity United Church of Christ
March 7, 2023
Greetings friends,
As you may know, recently, I announced my upcoming departure as your pastor. I have been called to serve in the United Reformed Church in Devon, UK. My last worship service at Trinity UCC will take place June 11, 2023.
As we tread this path toward June together, your leadership team will be working with Central Atlantic Conference leaders to help discern the next steps. I feel assured that, with their guidance, TUCC will be well-positioned in the future. We have made great progress in my nearly two years as your pastor and I am excited to watch, from a distance, all the amazing things that you and God will do together as this historic church lives into its commitment to follow the call to be the body of Christ in the world.
In the meantime, I want to stress that we aren’t done yet! We still have much work to do, including continuing our Lenten series (The Grace of Les Misérables), Easter, and a final worship series together on “The Fruit of the Spirit.” We also have a number of exciting things to come, from monthly coffee hours, to fundraising events (cross art class, Shred Day, and BINGO), Earth Day, and fellowship. And this summer, our children will have sensational VBS opportunities. God’s Spirit is still very much alive and active in the ministry of this church!
I hope you all know how very much our time together has meant to me and my family. Donna, Weston, Isaac, and I will miss you all more than we can say. We will continue to faithfully pray for you always and wish all God’s blessings on your lives and ministry.
In Christian love and hope,
Pastor Jessica
